ABOUT
Adeola Ajani is the founder and CEO of Fem Equity®, a technology-driven platform dedicated to advancing pay equity and professional development for women and underrepresented professionals. Her personal experiences with wage disparities have fueled her commitment to creating tools that empower individuals to negotiate fair compensation and achieve financial security. Adeola's leadership has garnered recognition, including being named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Class of 2025.
BEFORE RICHES
Adeola's early career was marked by firsthand encounters with wage inequality. Her initial job at a theater revealed pay disparities, with her earning $11 to $12 per hour while colleagues in similar roles received higher wages. In 2020, she secured a financial analyst position at Morgan Stanley, which she considered her dream job. However, she soon discovered she was being compensated 35% to 40% less than her male counterparts. Efforts to address this inequity through human resources were unsuccessful due to a non-negotiable agreement she had signed.
HOW SHE MADE 1st MILLION
Motivated by her personal experiences with pay disparities, Adeola founded Fem Equity® in 2021. The platform offers tools for financial education and professional development, aiming to close wage gaps and empower women and underrepresented professionals. Under her leadership, Fem Equity® has been recognized in various programs, including Johns Hopkins' Social Innovation Lab and TEDCO's Open Institute for Black Women Entrepreneur Excellence. Adeola's dedication to pay equity has been acknowledged by Forbes, naming her to their 30 Under 30 list in 2025.
