Anna Voelker is an award-winning science educator, researcher, public speaker, and writer specializing in accessible science outreach and disability advocacy. They are the founder and Executive Director of SciAccess, Inc., an international nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting disability inclusion in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education, outreach, and research. Through SciAccess, Anna leads various initiatives, including Mission: AstroAccess, which focuses on advancing disability inclusion in space exploration. In recognition of their impactful work, Anna was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for social impact in 2025.
BEFORE RICHES
During their undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University, Anna focused on creating inclusive science communication strategies. They worked extensively with blind and low-vision students, utilizing 3D printing and other multisensory educational approaches to make astronomy more accessible. Anna also gained experience through positions at NASA's Kennedy and Goddard Space Centers, the Space Telescope Science Institute, and the Aerospace Corporation.

In 2018, leveraging the $100,000 Ohio State University President’s Prize awarded for projects fostering social change, Anna founded SciAccess, Inc.
