X González (formerly known as Emma González)​ is an American activist and advocate for gun control. They survived the February 2018 Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida, and subsequently co-founded the gun-control advocacy group Never Again MSD. González gained national recognition for their powerful speeches and unwavering commitment to ending gun violence in the United States. ​

X González was raised in Parkland, Florida. Their mother is a math tutor, and their father, a Cuban immigrant, is a cybersecurity attorney. González attended Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, where they were known for their involvement in the school's gay-straight alliance and interest in creative pursuits. On February 14, 2018, during their senior year, González survived the tragic mass shooting at their high school, an event that profoundly impacted their life and future endeavors.

In the aftermath of the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, González emerged as a leading voice in the movement for stricter gun control laws. They co-founded Never Again MSD, a student-led organization advocating for gun reform. González's passionate speeches, including a notable address at a rally in Fort Lauderdale just days after the shooting, garnered national attention and became emblematic of a new wave of youth activism. They played a significant role in organizing the March for Our Lives demonstration in Washington, D.C., on March 24, 2018, which drew hundreds of thousands of participants advocating for gun control measures. González's advocacy has continued to influence public discourse on gun violence and policy reform in the United States.
