Before Huda Kattan became a beauty mogul, she pursued a degree in finance at the University of Michigan–Dearborn and worked in the corporate world. However, she found little fulfillment in her finance career. After moving to Dubai, she briefly worked in PR but soon realized her passion lay elsewhere. Encouraged by her sister, she studied makeup artistry at the Joe Blasco Makeup School in Los Angeles.
